A Letter to the Next

To the next guy that finds his way into her heart, be gentle. She’s been through a lot. Treat her as if she is your grandmother’s favorite china. As beautiful as she is fragile, one needs to handle her with care. Be there on her good days as well as her bad days. We all have days where we feel the need to curl up and shut out the world, even the ones we love most. On those days, be sure to let her know you’ll be there for whatever and whenever she needs. Listen to her problems. I mean really listen, take the time to understand what she’s feeling. Talk to her. Tell her how much you appreciate her. Sometimes she’ll get insecure, the way everyone in a relationship does. Make sure you show her how much you love her. Reassure her. Support her in everything she does. If it’s important to her then it should be important to. Her happiness is key. I hope you get as happy as I did when you see her smile. Get her flowers, write her poems-be cute. Sing with her at the top of your lungs in the car. Be sure to know the high school musical duets. Last of all, be real. Mean what you say and say what you feel. You only have one chance, don’t let anything go unsaid. Tell her how you really feel, never lie to her. Love her. Be genuine. If you tell her you won’t let go...don’t.
